The process by which our boards are manufactured is truly unique, typically taking almost twice as long as manufacturers of standard flooring. Each board passes through many skilled and attentive hands before it reaches its resting place.

At Waxed Floors, we have a long-term commitment to protecting the environment. Our philosophy informs everything we do from careful selection of our suppliers to only sourcing sustainable products, reducing waste and reusing, recycling products wherever possible, and reducing energy consumption in all areas of our business.
Waxed Floors complies with environmental legislation and environmental regulations such as EU Timber Regulation EU995.2010 which prohibits illegally harvested timber and timber products from entering the European Union marketplace.
We are strong advocates of internationally-recognised certification schemes, such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) and Programmes for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC™).
By doing so, we are committed to the regeneration of the world’s forests and strictly source all of our hardwood flooring from accredited suppliers, sawmills and timber merchants from countries throughout Europe that implement a forestry regeneration program to guarantee sustainable timber supply that meet all environmental, social and economic standards.
As a responsible and environmentally-conscious supplier, we also utilise our energy resources more efficiently and effectively, to further lessen the impact on the environment, and to ensure that availability of these vital natural resources will continue to thrive for generations to come.
